It Was a Wonderful Tour

This has been a whirlwind week and an incredible tour. Sadly, Color Me Dead‘s free days are over on Kindle, but thanks to your downloads the book hit #3 on the Free Cozies with Animals list.

I’d like to say thank you to Lori at Escape with Dollycas for being such a kind and caring professional. Also, thank you to all of the bloggers who read the book and wrote such detailed and beautiful reviews and then tweeted the heck out of it!

Luigi, the beagle, needs a nap, so once again, thanks for a great week!

For my last beagle picture this week, I am posting the only picture I can find of my own beagle, Goliath.  This photo was taken in Colorado back when I was a teenager. I had to wake him up to take the picture. If I remember right, this was actually a polaroid that was scanned. (That sure dates it!)

The blog tour continues! Today I’m visiting four blogs and am enjoying visiting with everyone this week. The download numbers have been great, and I appreciate all of the reviews the book is getting. When I’m not on tour, I love to have other cozy mysteries visit me when they are on tour. I can tell you, some months when I get busy writing, it’s hard to find time to read and review a book, so I really appreciate their efforts. Here are my stops for today! Come and join me and be sure to leave a comment, so I know you stopped by.

Color Me Dead is Now Available on Amazon

colormedeadcoverJanuary is a big month for me! My new Henry Park series starts today with psychic artist Gabby Wolfe in her first mystery solving adventure COLOR ME DEAD. I’ve moved from the warm comforts of Texas to the spectacular Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

Artist Gabby Wolfe has the ability to see not only the beauty of the living but the despair of the dead. When she returns to her childhood home in Henry Park Colorado, she is forced to bring along her younger brother Mitch. He is on a “break” from college where he was majoring in wine, women. and song. If that isn’t enough they also have Mitch’s rambunctious beagle Luigi along who prefers to spend his days wallowing in junk food. When Gabby draws the death of a young woman before it happens, she knows she must tell someone and risk a new job and her professional credibility. Will she reveal her secret in time to save the woman in the water or will it be too late?

I moved from Colorado years ago, but a part of my heart has always stayed there. Living in Texas with my family, it’s not always easy to travel with my son, so in a way, I get to go back and visit every day I work on the series.  The character of Gigi, who has cerebral palsy was a challenge to write because she is “on the case” with Gabby and can only communicate through a Tobii, an augmented communication device. Just because Gigi is in a wheelchair doesn’t mean she isn’t going to let you know how she feels! Her character was inspired by people I’ve known while being a part of the disability community with my son, and Gigi will be a recurring character.

Now here’s a little secret. Color Me Dead is only available on Amazon at this time and will be on a blog tour January 23 through 27. I am so excited that Escape With Dollycas Tours has booked me on three and even four blogs a day during that time! Not only can you follow me on the tour for interviews and reviews but you can pick up a copy of the book for FREE during those days. That’s January 23-27 so mark it on your calendar right now!
